Chatto & Windus, London, 1934. The first UK edition of this high spot which precedes the first U.S. edition by one year. It is the very first printing of the book in English. The book is in very good shape with none of the usual age toning some wear to the top of the spine, one corner bumped with a mild discoloration to the top block. The dust jacket is very good in a non price clipped dust jacket with a one inch chip to the spine of the dust jacket as shown in the photos which may look less severe without the white backing of the dust jacket protector. All in all a wonderful first edition of a world classic.
