The Pearl by John Steinbeck First Edition, First Printing, First State $1500.00.
The Viking Press, New York, 1947. A near fine book and dust jacket that are very attractive. No notable flaws. First issue non price clipped dust jacket with Steinbeck looking to his left at the spine with only one ear visible. A gem of a story and a gem of a first edition in its true first state.
