A very good condition book and dust jacket of this the author’s first book which started multiple blockbuster movies involving “Jack Ryan” including this one, The Hunt For Red October starring Sean Connery. This is the heavy Naval Institute Press edition which is not priced and represents the true first printing and has all other first state points present (six reviews on the back panel with Clive Cussler’s listed third, and 18 lines of print on the copyright page). Neat owner’s name printed at top of front free endpaper otherwise near fine book in a dust jacket which has creasing to the front panel, edges and flaps. Military fiction at its finest.
