One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey signature laid in. First Edition, first printing, first state $1800.00
The Viking Press, New York, 1962. First state points of this major book collecting highspot are $4.95 on the dust jacket, the Kerouac blurb on the dust jacket and “that fool Red Cross woman” on page 9 and “Red Cross Woman named Gwen-doe-lin”. Front and spine of dust jacket have chipping as shown. Very clean internally with no owner’s signatures or other marks. Book from which the movie was made starring Jack Nicholson. Author’s signature is laid in on purple paper with the usual multicolor and flourish which Kesey’s signature is known for and says “For Don: ‘Be your own tribe.’ Ken Kesey 1993”. Very cool inscription from the leader of the Merry Pranksters bus. All first issue points present on this Kesey masterpiece.
