Very rare first edition of Thompson’s first book which is excellent literature. Modern Age Books, New York, 1942. Beautiful dust jacket is not price clipped. Dust jacket shows chipping wear and some loss at spine but difficult to find in any dust jacket. Thompson switched from literature to noir pulp because it paid, however, his noir pulp is second to none. Book interior is very clean with no owner’s signatures, bookplates or foxing.
