Bloomsbury, London, 1998. Hardback. The much coveted true first of the second book in the Harry Potter series. There are estimated to be only 706 true first hardbacks of this book. Here is one of them. Not the first Canadian or American or Australian but the true first printing in London. The second Potter book was published one year after the first Harry Potter book whose value is out of price for all but a few. The dust jacket is nice and bright as fine except for a ripple at the top of the front panel. Not price clipped. Correct first state point on dust jacket with “Age” at bottom of inner front flap instead of “age” and no “Year 2” Badge and does not feature the Hogwarts crest. The book itself is clean with no markings or owner’s signature or bookplate. The pages are slightly toned but clean and free from any marks.  A great high spot in the Harry Potter Canon in collectible condition. If you can’t have The Philosopher’s Stone this is the next best thing, the true first edition of The Chamber of Secrets.
