Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? By Philip K. Dick First printing of first UK edition $ 2500.00
Rapp & Whiting, London, 1969. Blade Runner and its sequels rise from the ashes of this huge important book. Dick’s best novel/science fiction/philosophy/geopolitics/ literature. The man checks all the boxes. This first UK edition has a great colorful dust jacket which is in very good condition with some wear and closed tears to the edges. The book has a very small bookseller label to the right corner of the front pastedown otherwise very clean. The non clipped dust jacket is difficult to find in better condition than this one. Needless to say this also is a less expensive alternative to the first US edition going for $37,500 at Heritage Auctions on May 13, 2026. This book is one of the cornerstone collectibles in the rare book business. PKD’s masterpiece and a prediction of a future that looks like where we are headed with AI and robotics.
